A reveal that outlives the reveal

Most reveal props are finished the moment the news lands. This one is only starting: the destination page does the announcing, and then the countdown gets crossed off, the packing list gets ticked, and the stamp pages fill up while you are away.

What comes home is a small book your child made and used, which is worth more than another printed itinerary.

How to make it

Print the sheet, cut along the outer lines, stack the pages in order and staple down the left edge. Card stock for the cover helps it survive a suitcase.

There is a drawn frame for a photo. Tape or glue one in rather than uploading it to us: it takes ten seconds and the picture never leaves your house.

Questions parents ask

Do I upload my child’s photo?
No. There is a drawn frame to tape or glue a printed photo into. We would rather not handle a picture of your child, and taping one in takes seconds.
How do I put it together?
Cut along the outer lines, stack the pages in order, and staple down the left edge. That is it. Card stock for the cover makes it last.
What goes on the stamp pages?
Anything you collect: museum stickers, ticket stubs, a stamp from a national park visitor centre, or a drawing of something they saw that day.
What age is it best for?
Four to ten. Younger kids need help with the writing pages but love the stamps; older kids fill the whole thing in themselves.
